Is it required that I have a referral from another healthcare provider in order to see you?Effective September 1st, 2019 you will no longer need a physician's referral in order to initiate physical thearpy. If treatment is required beyond 2 weeks then a referral will be required. However "wellness", "sports conditioning", and "nutrition" services do not require an MD referral. In all cases an evaluation can be performed, which can help in determining if you are a candidate for physical therapy vs wellness services.
-

We will provide all necessary documentation for physical therapy services, including an itemized reciept in order for you to recieve reimbursment from your insurance. Why don't you accept insurance for physical therapy? The primary reason that we do not accept insurance is so we can offer the highest value to our patients. In order to sustain in an insurance environment healthcare professionals are required to see many patients per day/hour. This leads to the need for double booking patients and utilizing techs. Under these circumstances patients often spend a very small portion of their treatment session with their therapist. This leads to longer recovery times and more total treatments. Couple this with the fact that insurance co-pays continue to increase and the value is quickly diminished. The value that we offer is in the 1-on-1 treatment model where you are the only patient we are working with for the hour. Dedicating each session to only you and your needs will decrease your recovery time and the amount of total treatments you will require. We are confident that in the long run this will save you time and money
-
Can you accept medicare patients? For medicare beneficiaries, we can provide any service that is not considered skilled physical therapy. Services that we can provide include fitness, wellness, and nutrition. Due to medicare rules, we are legally unable to provide treatments that are considered skilled physical therapy treatments, such as manual therapy and or neuromuscular re-education to a medicare beneficiary even if they want to pay out of pocket.
